All HP HVAC projects for eligible 3CE customers must meet the following criteria in order to qualify for a 3CE incentive:
- The installed HP HVAC unit must replace a non-electric heating unit. Previous A/C is not required.
- The customer must enroll in an eligible demand response (DR) program.
- The existing heating source must be either fully decommissioned or left in blower-only mode; it cannot be left for backup heating.
- A new furnace cannot be installed alongside the HP HVAC unit; dual fuel is not eligible.
- All equipment installed must be ENERGY STAR-listed with continuously variable or 2-stage compressor types.
Incentives must be applied for by the participating contractor, and incentives must be applied for by the participating contractor.
Incentives:
- Energy Star listed Air Source HP HVAC with compressor types of either Continuously Variable or 2-Stage* - $2,000 per unit (Max 2 units per site)
- Electrical - $2,000 per project. Please note that there is a limit of one electrical panel incentive per customer. Even if the customer is applying for both a HPWH and HP HVAC incentive, only one project will be eligible for this additional electrical upgrade incentive (the installation that resulted in the upgrade).
- Low-Income - $1,000 per project CARE/FERA enrolled customers
- Disaster Benefit - $1,000 per project - Home was damaged by a Governor-proclaimed disaster
