REQUIREMENTS:

Replace and scrap existing and operational freestanding wood-burning or pellet-burning stoves, fireplace inserts, or open-hearth fireplaces.

Must apply for Clean HEET program and receive Notice to Proceed from Bay Area Air District before starting any work. This program does not provide reimbursements for projects already started.

  1. Bay Area Air District Jurisdiction

All Bay Area homeowners are eligible to apply. Funding is limited, so submit your application early to avoid delays. The deadline to apply is 5:00 PM PDT on July 14, 2026. Homeowners can check to see if their property is located within the Bay Area by visiting the Air District’s website.

Additional rebates can be included as long as other rebates do not take emissions reductions credits.
