Multifamily properties comprised of more than one building are eligible for a rebate of up to $3,000 for an electrical panel upgrade in the first building. Electrical panel upgrades for each additional building that are part of the same multifamily property are eligible for a rebate of up to $1,500.

Go Electric Bonus: must be combined with a project converting a gas water heater or gas space heating to heat pump. Upgrade panel ≤200 amps. Must include future circuits for EV (max 40 amp), cooking, dryer and induction range or oven/cooktop.
Must use a participating contractor in the SMUD Contractor Network (SMUDContractorNetwork.org)

Heat Pump Water Heater Incentive can be combined with Electrical & Pre-Electrification Upgrades:
Up to $2,000 (capped at 50% of reported cost up to $2,000 for general market)
Single family market rate heat pump water heater funds are currently unavailable for electric Investor-Owned Utility customers in PG&E service area, publicly owned utility electric customers, and SMUD electric customers.
